While ongoing trade relations remain at the focal point of Deep Space K-9's day-to-day operations, behind closed doors, Starfleet is has an even bigger situation brewing on its hands. Intelligence reports have begun to surface regarding the construction of an illegal Klingon shipyard- one which lies just two lightyears from Eifie space. Concerned at the possibility that the House of Khartan could be amassing an armada at their front doorstep, Starfleet has launched a probe to investigate. Unfortunately, the probe has now gone silent deep into Klingon territory, and with the risk of potentially sensitive information falling into Klingon hands, Starfleet Admiralty has dispatched the Lancaster-Class USS Tigerfish (NCC-1509), under the command of Commander Louise De La Valliere, to venture into Klingon territory and recover the probe- by any means necessary. -

In a show of good faith, the Rheuysians have invited personnel from DSK9 to their homeworld to celebrate the "Festival of the Kaiser from the Stars;" an annual festival which celebrates Rheuysian salvation. Tigerfish is dispatched on behalf of Commander Vincent to partake in the festivities.
Upon arrival, the Tigerfish's crew discovers that, to celebrate the season, Rheuysian citizens display images of the figure known to them as the "Kaiser from the Stars," whom so happens to bear a striking resemblance to the Federation historian Gundula Rall, who disappeared while on assignment to Rheuys following first contact with the Rheuysians 15 years ago.
This discovery will raise serious questions about Rheuysian history since first contact with the Federation, and the previously held Federation belief that the Rheuysians happened to adopt similar imagery to Earth's Kingdom of Prussia as a cosmic coincidence will be tested. -

While Commander Vincent and the senior staff of DSK9 visit Rheuys for the Festival of the Kaiser from the Stars, the USS Tigerfish is sent on a mission involving a terrorist organization known as the Maquis, which is fast becoming a thorn in Starfleet's side. The organization believes that Federation membership will only cause Eif and Rheuys more trouble than it's worth, and has been conducting a campaign of terror against Federation interests in Sector 813.
A few months after the rise of the Maquis, the Command Staff of Deep Space K-9 receive a concerning report regarding a Rheuysian arms freighter that was ambushed, raided, and scuttled in what appears to have been a targeted act of piracy. All signs are pointing towards this being the doing of the Maquis, but soon, a new piece of the puzzle enters the picture; a Rheuysian arms dealer who only goes by Das Nummer has been secretly collaborating with the Maquis as a means of profiting from the newfound instability in the region.
Das Nummer is known by Starfleet Intelligence to be a habitual gambler, with a favorite haunt of hers being the neutral casino planet of Aberdeen VI. In order to bring Das Nummer in for questioning, Starfleet has dispatched the Tigerfish to bankrupt her so that she'll leave the casino and allow them to perform an extraction. However, Das Nummer's got quite a few tricks up her sleeve, to ensure that she doesn't go down without a fight... -
