With Maquis attacks on the rise, and with Rheuysians now joining the organization's ranks, Starfleet Intelligence dispatches a covert agent- code name "Agent Orange"- to infiltrate their ranks and gather information on their next target. However, when Agent Orange fails to report in at the scheduled time, concerns are raised that one of their top agents might have been captured- or, worse still, fully defected to the Maquis. With the risk of highly confidential information being leaked to a dangerous foe, Starfleet issues a covert assignment to the crew of Deep Space K-9: Infiltrate the Maquis Cell that Agent Orange was reportedly investigating, find him, and perform an extraction.
